'What is Brain & Mind Australia?'

Brain & Mind Australia is an organization consisting of Australia's leading researchers in the areas of basic neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience & genetics, as they pertain to mental illness.

The elected members of the organization and their collaborators participate in and organize an Annual Symposium 'Genes, Neurons & Mental Illness' each year around July-August, together with specialist workshops each year. All of these are run on a national basis.

In addition, there is synergy of efforts in reaching across old, disciplinary boundaries. This is forged by the promotion of dialogue between the members, leading to the formation of new project and program grants through the national research grant agencies.
